Community Guidelines
These guidelines sit alongside the Member Agreement. Breaking them can cost you access to the Network.
1. Who can join
The Unraised Genius Network is limited to members who are 18 years of age or older. We verify age from the date of birth on your student profile, and we re-check it every time you open the Network.
Students under 18 keep full access to guidance, recommendations, the life cycle timeline, and their support team — but they cannot create a Network profile, send invitations, message members, or post to the feed.
2. Do
- Use your real name and an accurate description of what you study or do.
- Keep conversations professional: mentorship, admissions, scholarships, athletics, internships, and careers.
- Share opportunities that are open to everyone reading the feed.
- Respect a “no.” If someone declines an invitation or stops replying, move on.
- Report anything that feels unsafe, predatory, or off-topic.
3. Don't
- Don't post or request phone numbers, personal email addresses, home addresses, social handles, or payment details. Use Network messages instead.
- Don't harass, threaten, demean, or sexualize another member.
- Don't solicit money, gifts, crypto, loans, or “application fees.”
- Don't recruit members into unrelated schemes, MLMs, or paid services without disclosure.
- Don't impersonate a school, coach, employer, or organization you don't represent.
- Don't post another person's private information, transcripts, or documents.
- Don't use the Network to reach students under 18, on or off the platform.
- Don't scrape, bulk-export, or automate access to member profiles.
4. Automated safety review
Every post, comment, and message is screened before it is delivered. Content that shares contact details or payment requests is blocked outright. Content that reads as risky may be delivered with a visible safety note, and is logged for our team.
Safety review is a safeguard, not a guarantee. Use your judgment, and report what the system misses.
5. Reporting and enforcement
Every post, comment, message, and profile carries a report control. Reports go to the Unraised Genius safety team with the content, the author, and the time it was created.
Depending on severity we may add a warning, remove content, restrict messaging, suspend Network access, or close the account. Serious threats to a student's safety may be referred to law enforcement.
6. Changes to these guidelines
We update these guidelines as the community grows. When we do, we record a new version and ask you to accept it the next time you open the Network.
7. How to contact us
